Get It Done
We can help with plan take-offs and estimates. Different roofs require different detailing. Gable, hip, single slope (shed), gambrel (barn) and radius roofs use many similar as well as specific details. The pitch and eave design are important elements as are accurate dimensions. Keep in mind any future work, such as an addition, soffit or siding. This later work can be easier if planned for along with the roof.
Metal roofing can often be installed over existing roofing, saving tear-off and landfill costs. A quality high temperature membrane used at eaves, valleys, etc. is necessary under metal roofing when installed on sheathing.
Typical roofing trim includes eave, gable, valley, hip/ridge, headwall and sidewall flashing. Allow at least a week for availability; all trim is made to order. Special roofing trim includes vented ridge, masonry chimney, skylight, curved roof, etc. Additional time may be required for these.
Accessories for metal roofing include clip/trim screws, plumbing boots, hot boots for metal chimneys, snow retention, gutters, downspouts and special tools. Some jobs will use metal facia and soffit.
